Helpful Guide to myUHD Portal and Blackboard

myUHD is the student portal used by the University of Houston-Downtown students. You will use myUHD 2.0 to access your student information including registering for classes, viewing Financial Aid, making payments, and more. ​

In this post, I’ll guide you through how to access your UHD login portal, how to access UHD blackboard, and how to request your transcripts.

How to log into myUHD

To access the University of Houston-Downtown login portal,

  1. On your web browser, navigate to uhd.edu/myuhd.
  2. Click on “Students” link to take you to the login page.
  3. On the login page, enter your UHD Username.
  4. Then, enter your password.
  5. Click on “Sign in” to access your portal.

How to log into uhd blackboard

Blackboard is the learning management system used at the University of Houston-Downtown.

To log into UHD Blackboard,

  1. Visit the UHD website at www.uhd.edu
  2. In the top menu bar, click Blackboard.
  3. From the IT: Blackboard page, click the blue login button.
  4. You will be taken to Blackboard. (https://bb.uhd.edu) If you are UHD Faculty, Staff, or Student, select the Login Here button. If you are taking non-credit courses, select​ Non-Credit, Other Login.
  5. You will be taken to the UHD O365 login page. Login using your email address and password.
  6. Access your course list by clicking the My Blackboard tab.
  7. After your first login, your courses will appear in the middle of the page. You can enter by clicking the course title.

UHD Bb will be used for Fall, Winter Mini, Spring & Summer courses. Be sure to log in with your UHD gatormail (example: [email protected]). This usually consists of your last name, first initial, and number.

When signing into Blackboard, some users report getting an authentication expired error message. The error prevents users from logging into the UHD Blackboard system.

Once this error occurs, the only way to resolve it is to clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Depending on your browser, the steps for clearing your cache and cookies will be different.

To prevent this error from occurring in the future, you must always log out and click “End SSO session” when you are finished using UHD Blackboard.

UHD account password reset

Your network password gives you access to MyUHD, Email, computers, PASS, VPN, Blackboard, WiFi, etc. If you want to reset or change your UHD password, follow the instructions below.

How to change network account password

  1. Click the Network Account button above to be taken to the login page.​
  2. Along the top, click the drop-down arrow next to the person icon.
  3. Select Change Password, fill out the information provided and click the red Save button.

How to reset network account password

  1. Click the Network Account button above to be taken to the login page.
  2. Click the Forgot/Reset My Password button.
  3. Type in your username and click the Submit button.
    • If you don’t know your username, contact the IT Service Desk at (713) 221-8031​.
  4. Enter the email address or mobile phone number which is on file with UHD.
  5. If the information is on file, you will select your preferred method and click the Send New Password button.

How to request for transcripts

Requests for official UHD transcripts are made online through the MyUHD student portal. You can log in and click on the Student Records and Enrollment tile and submit your request for an official or unofficial transcript. 

All requests for official UHD transcripts will be processed within 2-3 business days, except for students who have coursework completed at South Texas Junior College or attended UHD in summer 2012 or prior. ​

These requests may take up to 5-7 business days for processing. Contact the Registrar’s Office for additional assistance at [email protected]

A transcript fee of $10 will be charged for each printed official transcript requested for pick up or mail out. During peak registration and grade posting periods, allow 3-4 business days from the date the request is received.

If someone other than the student will be picking up the transcript, the student should contact the registrar’s office at [email protected] for additional information regarding a supplemental form.

How to request an official transcript

To request an official transcript, please follow the steps below:

  1. Access the UHD myUHD 2.0 page.
  2. Select ​“Students”.
    • Enter your UHD Username (User ID) and password.
  3. Once logged in select “Student Records & Enrollment”​ tile.
  4. Select “Request Official Transcript”​.
  5. Review the transcript request information and select the appropriate transcript type.
    • ​​​Please select from the “Mail to Specific Address” or the “Send to My Address” options. ​​As a reminder, students who attended during the Summer 2012 or prior and have created a student profile can only receive hard copies of their transcript. If you submit the request for an electronic or pdf transcript this will delay the processing of your request.
  6. Proceed with making your transcript request.
  7. Click “submit” to finalize and confirm your request.

To secure payment for an official transcript(s), follow the steps below:

  1. Return to the “Home” screen by clicking the house icon in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Select “Student Center”​.
  3. Under the Finances section select “Charges Due” and click on “Make a Payment”​.
  4. Review the payment information and select the appropriate fee type for processing.
  5. Click “submit” to finalize payment submission.
  6. Provide your payment information and click “Continue”.
  7. To finalize your payment submission click “Confirm”.
